Food and Beverage Production is a course that equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to prepare, cook, present, and serve food and beverages in hospitality establishments such as hotels, restaurants, catering companies, institutions, and event venues.

By the end of the course, learners should be able to:

Apply food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.

  • Identify and use kitchen tools, equipment, and utensils correctly.
  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of foods using different cooking methods.      Upon successful completion, learners will be able to produce safe, nutritious, and high-quality food and beverages, maintain professional kitchen standards, and meet customer expectations in the hospitality industry.
     
     

Food and beverage service is the organized process of preparing, presenting, and serving food and drinks to guests in hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, cafés, and events. It focuses on customer experience, service methods, staff roles, product knowledge, hygiene, and efficient operations.

This course equips trainees with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a wide variety of foods in both domestic and commercial kitchen settings. It covers basic to advanced cookery techniques, kitchen organization, food safety and hygiene, nutrition, and menu planning.

Trainees will gain hands-on experience in handling kitchen tools and equipment, selecting quality ingredients, and preparing meals according to standard recipes. Emphasis is placed on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism in the kitchen environment.
